The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 defines an online money game broadly, whether based on skill, chance or both. Sections 5–7 prohibit offering online money games, related advertising and fund transfers. The 2026 Rules took effect on 1 May 2026. Choose a money limit and time limit before opening an app. Never chase a loss, borrow to play, use essential household money or rely on a bonus to recover spending.
Pause if play causes secrecy, stress, missed work, debt, repeated deposits, arguments or an urge to win back losses. Use operator self-exclusion and account-limit tools when available.
Use a unique password, keep OTP and PIN details private, avoid screen-sharing with support contacts and verify the exact package and domain before installing or paying.
